Heavy Equipment Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic Supervisor in Brandenburg, K.Y! The ideal mechanical supervisor will have 3-5 years of experience performing/ rebuilding trucks, machines, and equipment, as well as 2 years of supervisory experience.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports safety and environmental initiatives including employee safety engagement; regulatory compliance and related training
  • Ensures equipment availability through effective and efficient scheduling of equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Develops, supports and coordinates maintenance personnel
  • Assigns and schedules work
  • Ensures that tools and resources are available to personnel
  • Coordinates teams to identify process improvements and to develop and document maintenance procedures
  • Develops and maintains relationships with vendors and operations management
  • Assists the Operations Manager in developing budgets and business plans
  • Reviews monthly budget to manage maintenance department costs
  • Assists with the evaluation of capital expenditures
  • Manages preventive and predictive maintenance processes and schedules
  • Creates and closes work orders
  • Requisitions parts and services
  • Reviews and approves time cards
  • Audits processes and inspects completed work as necessary
  • Runs KPI reports, analyzes data and utilizes information for better decision-making
  • Provides reporting and recordkeeping as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS (Skills, knowledge, experience)

  • Minimum of five years of experience in industrial equipment repair technology
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience with computerized maintenance systems
  • Ability to understand financial data
  • Valid driver’s license

EDUCATION

  • Associates degree in heavy equipment repair technology or related experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to operator motor vehicle
  • Sits, stands, walks for extended period
  • Tolerates noise and temperature variations

 

Compensation

$85,000 - $95,000/ per year

Shifts

Monday - Friday (Days) - On call as needed
