Fire protection has become increasingly more important for both new construction as well as retro fits. As the technology gets better the demand only goes higher. Studies conducted from 2015 – 2019 found that of the 51,000 building fires responded to in the USA only 10% had sprinklers installed. Where sprinklers were present death rates were reduced by 89% and injury rate was reduced by 27%.
A career as a Fire Protection Technician or Sprinkler Installer can be incredibly rewarding. You leave with the knowledge that you are helping keep people safe while also performing a challenging job that is a nice mixture of working with your hands and your head.
This is also a job with great stability and growth potential. The Fire Protection industry is expected to grow by 5% over the next several years and there is expected to be a 14% shortage of technicians.
