Service Manager

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Manager to join our reputable heavy truck dealership in New Orleans, LA. As the Service Manager, you will play a vital role in leading our service department and ensuring exceptional customer service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of service technicians, ensuring high productivity, efficiency, and quality of work.
• Manage and resolve customer concerns and complaints promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize service department performance, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and parts, to ensure smooth operations and maximize customer satisfaction.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering parts and supplies as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a leadership role within the automotive or trucking industry is preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and team members.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and resolving customer concerns effectively.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver's license.

Compensation:

This position offers a competitive annual salary in the range of $85,000 to $95,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
