Parts Person - Heavy Truck

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Heavy Duty Truck Parts Procurement Person to join our team in Corona. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely procurement of high-quality parts for our fleet of heavy-duty trucks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and market analysis to identify reliable suppliers of heavy-duty truck parts.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and conditions to optimize cost and quality.
• Evaluate supplier performance regularly, ensuring they meet the company's quality standards and delivery requirements.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to understand their part requirements and ensure timely procurement to support their operations.
• Monitor inventory levels and track part usage to prevent shortages and maintain adequate stock levels.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel to receive, inspect, and store parts in an organized and efficient manner.
• Work closely with the accounting department to ensure accurate invoicing and timely payment to suppliers.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, new products, and advancements in heavy-duty truck parts to make informed procurement decisions.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in heavy-duty truck parts purchasing, preferably in the fire truck apparatus parts industry.
• Strong knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts, including engine components, transmissions, braking systems, and electrical systems.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
• Proficient in using computerized inventory management systems and MS Office Suite.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and manage a complex parts inventory.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to heavy-duty truck parts procurement is an asset.
