Journeyman Automotive Technician

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Automotive Technician for our team in Lac Le Biche, AB. As a qualified candidate, you will be responsible for performing mechanical repairs, maintenance, and inspections on various automobiles, including electric, gasoline, and alternative fuel vehicles like ethanol.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose complex issues and efficiently plan and execute vehicle repairs.
• Perform basic care maintenance tasks such as tire rotations and oil changes.
• Receive work assignments through oral or written work orders and determine the nature and extent of required repairs.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment, including handheld and onboard compression gauges or diagnostic computers.
• Replace worn parts before vehicle breakdown or damage occurs.
• Utilize common hand tools, power tools, and machine tools as needed.
• Work on Heavy Duty Trucks as required.

Requirements:

• Possess a valid Alberta or equivalent Journeyman's certificate.
• Strong diagnostic skills.
• Experience with routine maintenance operations.
• Perform well under pressure with keen attention to detail.
• Must provide own tools.
• Capable of lifting or moving over 50 lbs when necessary.
• Experience working on Heavy Duty Trucks is a plus.
