Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Join our team as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in Albany, NY. In this role you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and performing mechanical repairs and maintenance on various heavy equipment, including Street Sweepers, Vacuum Trucks, and Refuse equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, and PDI's.
• Efficiently communicate with the Service Writer and Parts team for optimal workflow.
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks and inspections.
• Provide updates on job progress and status changes to the Service Manager.
• Maintain an organized and safe work area, shop tools, and service vans.

Requirements:

• Heavy Equipment or Transport Certified Mechanic preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
• CDL and NYS Inspector's license preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a certified mechanic.
• Proficient in hydraulic and/or electrical work.
• Exposure to Street Sweepers, Vacuum Trucks, or Refuse equipment considered an asset.
• Ability to work efficiently under tight timelines in a busy environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely and independently.
• A team player with a willingness to assist others when required.
• Availability for daily road calls as needed to address customer needs.
