Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Roads need to be paved, and paving equipment needs mechanics. We have an immediate opening for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Manassas, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining paving equipment such as pavers, rollers, and asphalt distributors and more.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on paving equipment
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Communicate with supervisors and operators to identify equipment issues and provide solutions
• Keep detailed records of repairs and maintenance performed on equipment
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in diesel truck, heavy equipment, or small engine repair
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret equipment schematics and manuals
• Familiarity with welding and fabrication is a plus
• Must have a valid driver's license
