Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Field Technician

We are looking for Heavy Equipment Mechanics in Phoenix, AZ for a Field Service position. Put your experience and skills to work for a reputable company maintaining and repairing sweeper and vacuum trucks. This position requires general mechanical experience and the ability to work independently. The individual will receive daily work assignments, perform repairs on customer equipment, handle documentation, and communicate effectively with customers and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics on customer and company-owned equipment.
• Travel to customer site locations.
• Accurately report time worked and complete repair orders efficiently.
• Diagnose equipment issues, determine required tools, and operate equipment for repairs.
• Inspect equipment, handle warranty repairs, and create parts lists.
• Read schematics, notify management of additional work or delays.
• Stay updated with training and follow safety procedures.

Required Skills:

• 2-5 years of mechanical experience, preferably in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems or heavy equipment maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting, repair, and customer service skills.
• Ability to obtain a class B license and maintain a clean driving record.
• Physical abilities to lift and carry heavy loads, work in various positions, and use tools effectively.
• Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving history.
