Fire Prevention & Suppression Technicians will inspect, troubleshoot, service, and repair a variety of fire alarm systems, fire hoses, fire extinguishers, fire panels, and emergency lighting from a variety of brands such as Notifier, Firelite, Honeywell, Pyrochem, Amerex, Ansul, Redilite, etc.

FIRE EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Ideally have ASTTBC Stamps that could include: AL, EM, EX, WA etc.  If you're looking to obtain additional certification, the company will pay for all your courses
• Registered Fire Protection Technician (RFPT) Certification OR willing to obtain (Company will pay for this)
• CFAA certification will be considered with a goal of ASTT certification
• Knowledgeable of provincial building & fire codes for inspection purposes
• Able to lift up to 40lbs and comfortable working in sometimes difficult positions or heights
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and clean driving record

Successfully hired Fire Service Technicians must pass a pre-employment background check (Criminal and Driving).
