Diesel Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Hallettsville, TX. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of equipment, including tractors, utility vehicles, mini excavators, skid steers, movers. This is a full-time position with 80% of the time spent in the shop and 20% in the field. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel mechanics, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
• Perform routine maintenance on diesel-powered
• Troubleshoot and identify issues with equipment and develop effective solutions
• Use diagnostic tools and software to analyze and diagnose equipment problems
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations
• Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members
• Keep work area clean and organized

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a diesel mechanic
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and software to diagnose equipment problems
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must have own tools
