Mobile Diesel Mechanic

$30 - $40/hr
We are currently seeking experienced Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanics for our company located in Hickory, NC. This position is a mobile role and all technicians should be comfortable working in the field and being exposed to various weather conditions. Having experience with class 8 trucks, trailers, and heavy construction equipment is considered a valuable asset.
Responsibilities:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic/Heavy Equipment Mechanic, performing comprehensive repairs.
- Proficient in engine diagnostics/troubleshooting, as well as electrical and hydraulic skills.
- Perform a wide range of repairs, including engine repairs and overhauls.
- Identify and diagnose failures, replace defective components, and conduct basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
Qualifications:
- Strong troubleshooting abilities.
- Proficiency in using OEM diagnostic software programs.
- Strong computer skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Must possess personal tools.
- Must hold a valid Driver's license with a fairly clean driving record.
Compensation
- $30.00 – 40.00/hourly, wage range varies based on experience, certification, and qualification.

Shifts
Days, 7:00am – 4:00pm Monday – Friday, should be flexible to work OT.
