Trailer Technician
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Diagnose and evaluate mechanical issues
- Inspect parts for damage or excessive wear
- Travel locally to worksites to repair or replace heavy-duty equipment
- Disassemble and reassemble heavy machinery using hoists and tools
- Test equipment post-repair to ensure optimal performance
Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (Required)
- 2-5 years of experience with heavy-duty equipment repair (Preferred)
- Completion of a vocational or post-secondary training program (Preferred)
- Experience with trailer bodies and/or welding and fabrication (Preferred)
- Having your own hand tools is a plus (larger tools will be provided by the company)
- Ability to operate heavy-duty equipment
- Strong time management skills
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to obtain a Medical DOT Card (company paid)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift/carry the following:
- 100lbs (Infrequently)
- 25-99lbs (Occasionally)
- 1-24lbs (Frequently)
