Compensation
$18.00 – $30.00+ per hour (depending on experience and skill level)
We are hiring Trailer Mechanics at all experience levels, including Entry Level, Mechanic I, Mechanic II, and Mechanic III, to support a family-owned, full-service dealership that has been in operation since 1970.
This position offers steady, year-round work in a modern, well-equipped facility, with opportunities for skill development and long-term employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on trailers
- Build, rebuild, and repair trailer components as required
- Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain trailer equipment
- Use hand tools and test equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain clean and organized work areas following housekeeping standards
- Operate forklifts as required
- Perform related duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Trailer repair experience preferred (all skill levels encouraged to apply)
- Ability to diagnose and repair trailer systems and components
- Must provide own basic hand tools
- Comfortable using hand tools and diagnostic/test equipment
- Ability to follow shop safety standards and procedures
Requirements
- Ability to understand oral and written communication
- Ability to utilize service manuals, technical bulletins, and written directives
- Willingness to work assigned shifts, including some Saturdays
- Must own necessary basic tools
