We are seeking skilled Structural Assemblers to join our team for an exciting aviation project in Montreal. This role focuses on the final assembly of Twin Otter aircraft, with potential involvement in a waterbomber program. Your expertise in structural assembly, precision, and attention to detail will contribute to the project’s success.

Compensation & Benefits

For Contract Employees:

  • Hourly Rate: $50/hour for contractors; $55/hour with applicable licenses
  • Per Diem: $50/day for a 7/7 rotation when working 5 days per week

Shifts:

  • Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Afternoon Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Monday to Friday, with potential for weekend overtime

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and install structural systems, parts, and components on Twin Otter aircraft
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical documents, and manufacturing instructions
  • Work on various assemblies, from small components to large structural units
  • Operate manual and automated tools as required for tasks
  • Complete assembly tasks to meet specifications: drill holes, install fasteners, bolts, rivets, and screws
  • Apply mastics, bonding materials, and corrosion protection as needed
  • Inspect and verify completed assemblies to ensure compliance with technical and quality standards
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Report any irregularities or anomalies encountered during assembly



Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 8 years in structural assembly, preferably in aeronautics
  • Education: Diploma in Aeronautical Structure Assembly or equivalent
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading engineering plans and technical documentation
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional manual dexterity and precision
