We are seeking a talented Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Crawfordsville, IN. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of heavy-duty off-road construction equipment, with opportunities for career growth into a Lead Mechanic or Maintenance Manager.
Pay: Starting at $30 – $45/ per hour
Shift/Schedule: 4 days on, 4 days off schedule. Day and night shift positions available.

Responsibilities: As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, your key duties will include:
- Adhering to all safety regulations, policies, and maintaining proper records
- Dismantling and reassembling trucks, machines, and equipment to access and diagnose issues
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area to allow safe movement and equipment access
- Inspecting machines visually and audibly to identify malfunctions
- Reading schematics and utilizing diagnostic software to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Performing welding, cutting, and fabrication on equipment and components
- Meeting and exceeding customer service expectations
Skills & Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Expertise in off-road heavy equipment and its systems
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, braking systems, electrical systems, drivelines, steering mechanisms, and suspensions
- Experience with Tier IV Emissions systems
- Physical ability to bend, kneel, stoop, climb, or crawl under or on top of equipment
- Skill in manipulating components in hard-to-reach areas using hands and tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License
- A willingness to take on additional duties as needed
