Who We’re Looking For
You know your way around boats, sleds, ATVs and side-by-sides, or you’re an automotive/heavy-duty tech who’s ready to bring those skills into the marine and powersports world.
You’re comfortable troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and rigging issues. Can follow a work order, care about safety, and quality.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Rigging aluminum boats with outboards, controls, hydraulic steering, gauges and accessories.
- Installing and repairing marine AC/DC electrical systems.
- Wiring electronics like sonar, navigation and communication gear in a clean, organized way.
- Servicing and repairing boats, Mercury engines, ATVs, SSVs and snowmobiles from major brands.
- Using diagnostic programs to find and fix the real problem, not just the symptom.
- Following repair orders accurately and updating electronic work orders with notes and pictures.
- Keeping your bay clean, your tools organized, and your work safe and to a high standard.
You’ll also help spot better ways to do things in the shop and keep up with required manufacturer training (BRP, Mercury, and related courses).
Schedule, Pay, and Benefits
- Option of 4 x 10-hour shifts, or 5 x 8-hour shifts (depending on role and schedule).
- Overtime during busy season, with the option to bank time for paid days off in the slower months.
- Group health, dental, life and disability benefits after 3 months.
- Health Spending Account after 6 months.
- Employer-matching pension.
What You Bring
- Around 5 years’ experience as a boat rigger and/or service technician; automotive, heavy duty, or agricultural techs are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Solid mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job and keep up with daily schedules.
- Comfortable using computers for diagnostics and electronic work orders.
We’re building a team of technicians who take pride in their work, look out for each other, and want a long-term home in the marine and powersports industry.
