Maintenance Technician

We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician who brings the heat (literally — HVAC skills are a plus!) and keeps our apartment community in top shape. You’ll work directly with the Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor or Lead Tech, helping ensure that every unit and facility is fully functional, safe, and looking great.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize work orders efficiently
  • Handle repairs in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, locks, and appliances
  • Diagnose and service HVAC systems, plus perform preventive maintenance (filters, coils, etc.)
  • Keep appliances like fridges, stoves, washers, and dryers in great condition
  • Perform plumbing work from fixing leaks to unclogging drains
  • Tackle interior painting and touch-ups as needed
  • Prepare units for new residents with full “make-ready” repairs
  • Assist with landscaping, exterior upkeep, and pool maintenance
  • Follow safety procedures and keep your workspace hazard-free
  • Be available for on-call shifts, occasional evenings/weekends, and overtime
  • Operate a vehicle to transport tools and materials across the property

What You Bring:

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1–2 years of maintenance or mechanical repair experience
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check

Preferred (but not required):

  • HVAC Certification (Universal preferred)
  • Pool Certification
  • Experience in commercial property maintenance (electrical, plumbing, janitorial)
  • Associate degree in a related field

  • Solid repair and troubleshooting abilities across multiple trades
  • Excellent time management and task prioritization
  • Friendly and professional with residents and teammates
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and use mobile devices for updates
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs solo (and up to 100 lbs with help), climbing ladders, working in small spaces and outdoors in all weather
