Job Description:
As a Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems, refrigeration units (including walk-ins and refrigerators), air handlers, fan coil units, ice makers, controls, and other mechanical and electrical building equipment. Reporting to the Refrigeration Service Manager, you’ll work independently and efficiently to ensure all systems are running smoothly. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with kitchen refrigeration equipment and a solid understanding of refrigerants. Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) are essential for completing required work orders accurately and efficiently. Candidates must adhere to safe work practices in compliance with OSHA Health and Safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, repair, and replace commercial and industrial air conditioning, heating systems, refrigeration units, and other mechanical/electrical systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment including walk-ins, ice makers, fan coil units, and more.
- Work independently, following both written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
- Complete required work orders and documentation accurately for service records.
- Adhere to OSHA health and safety standards while working in the field.
- Maintain excellent communication with the Refrigeration Service Manager and other team members.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in refrigeration and HVAC service, with a focus on commercial systems.
- Current EPA 608 Universal CFC Certification.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems and HVAC equipment.
- Ability to safely operate and use hand tools, equipment, and testing devices.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Physical ability to stand, squat, and work in varying positions for extended periods.
- Able to lift, move, and carry items up to 75 lbs.
- Comfort with working at heights and using ladders or scaffolding.
- Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required (dust mask, gloves, eye protection, hearing protection).
- Availability to participate in on-call rotation for emergency service calls.
- Ability to manage emergency situations effectively.

Pay: Up to $105,000 per year
