Heavy Equipment Mechanic
We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics for immediate hire in Chatham, Virginia. Tend to a large fleet of earth moving equipment (track & rubber tire). This is primarily a field service position with some shop repair involved. Join a safety oriented construction outfit with over 50 years of success in excavation, grading, road, bridge and dam building.
Compensation:
- $30.00 – $50.00/hour to start.
- Benefits including but not limited to health, dental, life insurance, PTO and 401K with match.
Responsibilities:
- On-site diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repairs of dozers, loaders, excavators, haul trucks, etc.
- Parts ordering.
- Day shift, 7:00am – 5:00pm (Monday to Friday). Some Saturday’s.
Qualifications:
- 10 years experience maintaining heavy duty construction equipment.
- Proven experience repairing hydraulic, electrical, diesel, and mechanical systems/components on heavy equipment.
- Valid drivers license with MVR in good standing.
