Diesel Mechanic

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnostic & Repair Expertise: Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems (including electrical, brake, and hydraulic systems).
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular inspections, oil changes, tire rotations, and other preventative maintenance tasks to keep our fleet in optimal condition.
- Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Identify mechanical issues and provide effective repair solutions to minimize downtime and ensure safe vehicle operation.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of all work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and any repair notes.
- Safety First: Ensure that all maintenance and repairs meet safety standards and comply with company policies and regulations.
- Equipment Handling: Use diagnostic tools, hand tools, power tools, and other machinery to execute maintenance tasks.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other mechanics and team members to ensure efficient repairs and minimal disruption to service.
- Emergency Response: Provide emergency roadside repairs when needed to ensure the fleet stays on schedule.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in diesel mechanics is highly preferred.
- ASE certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Prior experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role, with in-depth knowledge of diesel engines and systems.
- Strong proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL is a bonus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, with some weekends as needed.
- Expected hours: 40+ hours per week.
Experience:
- At least 1 year of diesel engine repair experience required.
- Ability to commute to Wichita, KS 67219.
Work Location: In-person at our Wichita facility.
