Diesel Mechanic
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect vehicles to assess the extent of damage or malfunctions
- Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brake systems
- Review work orders and collaborate with supervisors to discuss tasks
- Use checklists to ensure all key parts are inspected, along with other potentially problematic areas
- Plan work procedures utilizing charts, technical manuals, and hands-on experience
- Communicate effectively with drivers to diagnose vehicle issues
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services
- Repair both manual and automatic transmissions
- Replace and adjust headlights as needed
- Comply with all safety, DOT, and OSHA regulations
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Maintain cleanliness in the shop and surrounding areas

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- At least 1 year of recent medium/heavy diesel maintenance experience
- Must have own hand tools
- Basic computer skills
- CDL license preferred
- Clean driving record with proven work history
- Ability to work in extreme hot and cold temperatures
- Diagnostic experience is a plus
