About the Role:
We’re on the hunt for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy trucks and vehicles, ensuring they’re running smoothly and at their best. If you have experience with Diesel engines and enjoy working on complex mechanical systems, this is the opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and repair tasks on a fleet of heavy trucks and diesel-powered vehicles.
- Parts Management: Track inventory and order parts as needed to keep repairs on schedule.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed logs of maintenance and repairs for all equipment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the lead mechanic on troubleshooting and major repairs.
- Efficiency in Pressure: Handle repairs effectively, even in adverse weather conditions and time-sensitive situations.
Qualifications:
- Diesel Engine Experience: Strong knowledge and diagnostic experience with Diesel engines.
- Hydraulic & Electrical Systems: Experience in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Driver’s License: A valid Driver’s License is required (CDL is a plus). Clean driving record is essential.
- Experience: Previous experience in the waste industry or with vacuum trucks is a plus.
- Bilingual: Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively and support fellow team members.
