What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with Superintendents and Forepersons to coordinate repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Maintain all systems: mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and more.
  • Clean, lubricate, and replenish machinery fluids.
  • Provide guidance on proper usage and preventative maintenance.
  • Tackle a wide range of jobs including hydraulics, powertrains, brake systems, fuel systems, and AC.
  • Test drive and adjust systems to verify performance.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state safety standards.
  • Manage shop tools, inventory, and part orders.
  • Use warranties and evaluate service options to reduce costs.
  • Take on additional tasks as needed — you’re the type who gets it done.

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma preferred; vocational training or apprenticeship is a big plus.
  • Valid certifications (ASE or equivalent) are preferred.
  • Solid experience working with diesel trucks, paving equipment, and heavy machinery.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Skilled with hand tools and precision instruments (calipers, gauges, etc.).
  • Ability to follow procedures, interpret schematics, and stay organized.
  • Physically strong with great stamina — you’re not afraid of hard work.
  • Safety-first mindset and clear communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solver who thrives under pressure.

What You Get:

  • Competitive pay: $33.00 – $45.00/hr (DOE)
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Full health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off
