Diesel Mechanic

Location: On-Site

Shifts Available: Day & Evening (8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday)

Are you a skilled Diesel Mechanic who knows their way around Class 8 trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment like a pro? We’re looking for a motivated, hands-on technician to join our team and keep our fleet in peak condition.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Performing scheduled maintenance and hands-on repairs on Class 8 dump trucks, tractors, and trailers.
  • Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems with precision.
  • Conducting preventative maintenance and inspections on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
  • Replacing or repairing major components like engines, transmissions, brakes, fuel systems, and more.
  • Using advanced diagnostic tools to identify and fix problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Maintaining accurate service records and ensuring every repair is logged.
  • Keeping your work area clean, safe, and organized while following all safety protocols.

What We’re Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Solid experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in a heavy-duty or fleet setting.
  • Expert knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy equipment.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Familiar with air brakes, HVAC systems, and vehicle electrical systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Detroit, Cummins, and Mack/Volvo engines and control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Team player with solid communication and collaboration skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Pay: $27.00 – $35.00 per hour (based on experience)
  • Hours: 40–50 hours/week
  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts (Monday–Friday), day & evening options
