An established residential & commercial mechanical organization who has been providing HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services to the North Shores of Massachusetts for over 40 years has made Rockstar their first call for their hiring needs. As part of the Nexstar network and a company with very low turnover, it is important they find candidates with a positive attitude, a drive for continuous learning and training, and a passion for the trades. While they have a stellar reputation for their business and employee retention, the challenge for them was the lack of available local talent through traditional recruitment methods and time to sort through applications.

Last year, we were approached by a Mechanical company in Bermuda who were struggling to find local people for their current projects and expanding commercial and industrial contracts across the island. The challenge they faced was the lack of qualified and licensed trades people on the island and needed to tap into the Canadian market for Red Seal candidates wanting to relocate and make a lifestyle change.
They are one of Bermuda’s largest and long-standing Mechanical company with divisions in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection to name a few. They tasked us with finding several key roles, such as Plumbers, Sprinkler Fitters, Foremen, Sheet Metal Workers, Mechanical Superintendent, and Pipe Fitters. Within a short period of time, Rockstar was successful in sourcing, presenting, and placing numerous Journeymen chomping at the bit to relocate for warmer weather and a more laid-back lifestyle. We have quickly become an integral part of their ongoing recruitment strategy.

Since 2018, Rockstar has partnered with Canada’s leading provider of residential HVAC, electrical, and plumbing services. With an ongoing skilled trades shortage and multiple locations across Ontario with open vacancies, they initially needed assistance sourcing experienced Techs & Installers within a short period of time.
Rockstar was able to successfully place several 313D Service Techs and Installers across Ontario and since then has been asked to support with recruitment efforts as they continue to grow and expand. Roles include HVAC Service Technicians, HVAC Installers, G2 Gas Fitters, Dispatchers, Trainers, Installation Managers, Water Heater Installers, HVAC Helpers, HVAC Subcontractors, HVAC Service Managers, Warranty Administrators, and Service Coordinators.

A multi-branch residential and commercial HVAC/R and plumbing was struggling to find qualified Technicians and Plumbers at several of their locations, including Sacramento, San Francisco, and Santa Cruz. After researching their options, they reached out to Rockstar to see how our recruitment solutions and proactive approach can help them.
Rockstar was tasked with looking for Residential and Refrigeration Technicians, Plumbers, and HVAC Service Managers. We were able to effectively submit a variety of candidates, that ultimately led to several hires.

In 2019, a family-run new construction residential HVAC company who services the Florida Keys area, reached out to Rockstar and help with their recruitment efforts as they continued to expand.
The greatest challenge was finding either local experienced candidates or those looking to relocate. In a short amount of time, Rockstar was able to network and present several viable candidates ultimately leading them to hiring and adding to their team.

For the last five years, one of Ontario’s largest networks of independent residential and commercial HVAC and plumbing contractors has trusted Rockstar to assist with various hiring needs across Ontario and successfully spearhead an Apprenticeship hiring initiative project. The goals of this project were to promote 1:1 ratio at most if not all of their locations, advocate for the trades, and ensure enough Apprentices were being developed and readily available for when senior techs retired.
On an ongoing basis, Rockstar has filled multiple roles, including but not limited to, HVAC Apprentices, HVAC Service Technicians, and Service Coordinators.

A reputable energy management solutions company was struggling to source Commercial and Refrigeration Service Technicians. Some of the biggest challenges they faced were sourcing licensed Techs with both HVAC and Hot & Cold Food Equipment Experience.
Rockstar used a multi-prong approach to find and present several candidates by tapping into our network, utilizing several popular recruitment and trade specific platforms, and social media. This ultimately led to hiring Techs in Austin, Houston, and the DFW area.
