Automotive Service Technician

We are looking for an experienced Master Certified Automotive Technician to join our team in Wakefield, MA. The ideal mechanic will have 3 - 5 years experience performing major repairs on automotive vehicles. Technicians with training or experience on domestic and foreign motor vehicles will be given preference. This is a great opportunity to for a technician who is looking to possibly move into a supervisory/lead role.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled mechanical work while analyzing and diagnosing problems.
• Inspect, replace, and/or repair defective parts while performing preventative maintenance on automobiles.

• Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components to automatic and manual transmissions.
• Remove transmission for repair/rebuild or replacement.

• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
• Interact with customers, co-workers, managers, and suppliers.
• Provide the highest level of service to our customers.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years’ auto repairing experience with strong focus on engine and electronic/electrical diagnostics troubleshooting in a professional capacity.

• Previous experience with transmissions is mandatory.
• Technicians with programing experience is considered an asset.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Strong diagnostic troubleshooting skills.
• ASE Certification preferred, but not required.
• Must have you own Tools.
• Valid driver’s license.
