We are currently seeking two Maintenance Mechanics to join a growing plastics manufacturing facility in North York. This is a full-time, permanent, day shift opportunity with an established company that runs a wide variety of machinery, including extruders, bag machines, and other plastics production equipment.

We are hiring for two positions:

Lead Maintenance Mechanic / Millwright
Junior or Apprentice Maintenance Mechanic

About the Role

You will be part of a skilled maintenance team responsible for keeping all production equipment operating safely and efficiently. This role requires a well-rounded technician who can troubleshoot and repair issues across multiple trades, including:

Mechanical repairs (bearings, chains, gears, hydraulics, pneumatics, alignment)
Electrical troubleshooting (motors, sensors, switches, controls – low voltage)
Welding & fabrication as needed
Preventative maintenance on production lines and facility equipment
Supporting installation, setup, and optimization of machinery

What We’re Looking For

Licensed 433A Industrial Millwright is a strong asset – but not required
Open to unlicensed Millwrights, Maintenance Mechanics, Industrial Mechanics, or Apprentices with robust hands-on experience
Experience with plastics manufacturing equipment, extruders, bag machines, thermoforming, or similar machinery is an asset but not required
Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Reliable, professional, and committed to quality workmanship and safety

Compensation

$40–$45/hour, depending on experience, certification, and position
Full-time permanent role
Day shift: Monday–Friday
