Diesel Mechanic

Type: Full Time

Compensation: C$20 - C$35 / hour

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Diesel Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. If you have experience with diesel engines and a commitment to quality workmanship, we want you to be part of our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including all related components.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system issues.
Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on diesel vehicles and equipment.
Replace or repair faulty components, such as fuel injectors, water pumps, and brakes.
Conduct test drives to verify that repairs are successful and systems are functioning properly.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.

Qualifications:

Valid Driver's License (required).
Clean driving record (required).
CDL is a plus but not required.
Ability to pass background checks, pre-employment screening, and random drug testing.

Skills & Experience:

Strong knowledge and proficiency in air brake systems and alignment procedures.
Experience with tire services, including installation, rotation, and repair.
Proficient in assembling and disassembling complex machinery and equipment.
Solid understanding of farm machinery maintenance and repair.
Familiarity with suspension systems and components.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems.
Skilled in the use of hand tools for mechanical work.
Capable of diagnosing and repairing transmission issues.
Experience with automotive diagnostics to identify engine problems.
